We are a young 30-’s something married couple who love budget travel and are taking an extended 6month journey to Central and South America.

This blog will be a chronicle  of our travels and a place for folks to check out travel ideas, travel budget tips, and our funny (mis) adventures.

We hope to light a spark in folks and give them the wanderlust  (look it up!).

As a married couple we don’t agree on a lot of things.  But one thing we agree upon on is budget travel.  Travel (to us) doesn’t have to be all about super resorts,  all inclusive trips, and first class airline seats.

You can experience  cheap travel thrills by budgeting your funds in a way that allow you to squeeze every inch of value from the places you travel to.

We do try our hardest to do this with a tight budget. We are by no means well off, so we had to find creative ways to budget our funds for our upcoming trip. We’re not exactly re-inventing the budget travel wheel, but we think our perspective as a young married couple should be interesting. (or at least entertaining   There is no turning back. Just a few days ago we quit our jobs, sold our beloved convertible mini cooper, and rented out our loft.   So here we are: Unemployed, car- less,  and for all intents and purposes, homeless.   We will be leaving for Central+South America on January 3rd, 2012.  Come join us on  our lil journey and let’s see what we can see
